Ausflex Series – “AC-CP Strip Seal” Concrete Joint System

The Granor® Series “AC-CP” expansion joint system is a heavy duty stripseal joint system designed for use in multi-level car park structures. As with the “AC-AR” stripseal system the “AC-CP” system also uses the concept of a M16 Grade 8.8 HSS bolt pre-loaded tensioned attachment system.
The “AC-CP” joint system utilises a series of flush fitting elastomeric sealing elements, parts SEC-150, SEC-200 and SEC-250. These seals are manufactured in high grade thermoplastic elastomer that can be produced in colour variants. Thermoplastic elastomers can be heat welded on site. These Series “SEC” style central seal sits slightly below the trafficked surface and thus is conducive to pedestrian traffic.
Further the “AC-CP” systems’ retention design together with the use of a structural grade aluminium side extrusions, provide for a robust system capable of handling long term vehicle traffic loadings in the applications areas recommended. The Series “AC-CP” system is typically cast-in integral with the concrete pour. The central seal being installed post slab pour. Seal selection and construction gap settings should consider anticipated thermal movements, creep, shrinkage and post tensioning shortening when applicable, together with ambient temperature fluctuations.
